1.3.1 Describing your types of work

When ASEAN becomes an integrated economic community, 7 professions (requiring training or qualifications) will be allowed to work freely in the region.
When you apply for a job, it’s important to be familiar with the terms of employment.

1) Dentist

1.3.2 Describing your daily work and routines

Here are some expressions that can describe something around keywords. 
Present simple tense is used to explain actions that occur customarily
or habitually, and the contracted forms are generally found in conversation.
The following expressions can be used when you try to explain your job.

Describing your daily work and routines

I clock in and clock out before and after work.
(use an electronic machine to record when you arrive at and leave work)
I have my own company; I’m self-employed.
(work for yourself  and  you may work from home)
I’m his/her opposite number.
(have the same position or doing the same job in another firm/department)

Describing your types of work

I have a lot of paperwork to do today. (work with reports and papers)
I have to do manual work and I’m very fit. (physical work)
I’d like to do vocational work, being a teacher or a nurse. (jobs that help people)
