Small and medium enterprises have been the backbone of trade in many Asian countries as they have a long tradition of industrious, family-run businesses. With the advent of the AEC, many private entrepreneurs will spread their wings to compete in neighbouring countries.
In this module we will look at different SMEs, and some of the documents they be required to deal with international trade. We will also look at the different methods of payment; various risks and costs involved, and the variation of responsibility.
As far as the language involved concerned, the ASEAN region has various forms of English (Englishes), the language of obligation, business collocations, explaining products, and INCOTERMS.
