There is an old song that was a pop hit in the early to mid-twentieth century: Dry Bones (Also: Dem Bones/Dem Dry Bones). The first verse ‘connected’ the bones and the second verse ‘disconnected’ them. The lyrics, written by James Weldon Johnson (1871–1938), are inspired by Ezekiel 37:1-14, which tells of a prophecy that God will one day command a resurrection.
