Language Focus

Language Focus 2: Words that can be both noun and verb

In English, it is helpful to be able to identify the part of speech of words.  This is beneficial for you to write grammatically correct English sentences.  Some words function as a noun, some are verbs and some are both nouns and verbs. For example, “let’s walk” – walk in this sentence functions as a verb, but if you say, “Let’s go for a walk.” – walk in this sentence functions as a noun.
